We are throwing down the gauntlet to the market with this product. If you have to use dry lube, then remember to leave them in the dust with Derby Dust™ Dry Lube. Remember to follow our break-in method to get the most out of your graphite dry lube needs. Build layers of lube!
Our fastest builds reach the average speeds exceeding the speed of 15.4 FPS for the last 10 feet of the track.
Apply the graphite lubricant on the friction points: between the head of the axle and the wheel, and between the body of the axle and the wheel.
This product is a proprietary blend of the industry best dry lubes. And in this case, the product itself costs something. No additives such as moly or tungsten to mess things up. Pure, fine graphite. Proper humidity, flake size for all pinewood derby needs. Good for axles and wheels. Smear it into the body so that it will help eliminate friction for those who can’t camber wheels.
What does MSDS stand for? It is the adjacent documentation of a consumers’ product where a manufacturer indicates toxic/harmful composite elements in their biggest quantity in the product and describes how to handle the impact of the substance in the worst case. If you take, for instance, antibiotic soap, you are going to develop 150+pages of the MSDS report.
Regarding our dry lubricant, only graphite is referenced in the report. Other components are not hazardous and are present in unsubstantial quantities. There is no need to list them separately.

There are a problem with the BSA Wheels. I have very limited amount of sets left that are machinable that do not wobble. Matched inner bore will not be available. #15 molds are no longer premium wheels. Please watch this video: https://youtu.be/OGlZlB_h7a4
Just to be clear, I do not sell wheels that wobble. I will not sell junk wheels. I rather have no sales, than have my name associated with junk wheels. The wheels that you see in the video are thrown away. They are not used.
BSA is aware of the problems, I am the second person to file formal complaint. Just remember I buy from same place you do. I have been instructed by national scoutshop not to place another order for wheels. So at some point I will run out. I have no special inside line for a better product.
