Measure all your pinewood derby parts with ease.
We have always fumbled around trying to balance our pinewood derby car parts to find our weight. Even worse trying to measure a finished pinewood derby car with fenders.
It was always a balance game. plus it is near impossible to weight a completed car when wheels are installed to get that final weight. We found a similar product called scale chocks. We thought we could make something better because we always like to make dual purpose tools.
Our Scale Caddy makes weighing the cars easier, by keeping cars from rolling off the scale. Supports standard, extended and shortened wheelbase cars. The height of the caddy ensure wheels are never touching the scale.
The inside of the caddy is large enough to accommodate 4 wheels, axles, and any additional weight needed to put on a standard pinewood derby car.
Overall weight is around 1.0oz but be sure to tare your scale prior to adding any parts. It is light enough in weight so that it will accommodate the small jewelry scales that measure up to 300 grams.
The length is just over 5″, width is 1.75″ and height is around 1″ giving you all the clearances needed to put it on nearly all scales.
