Derby Dust (R) Tech’s designed Low Rider car is the parent product for the low profile, light weight pinewood derby body that utilizes a canopy weight. We use 7 Steps to make Pinewood Derby Car Kit Package fast winning champions. Our derby car kit package include a thin pre-cut car body, canopy weight, lathed speed wheels, highly polished axles, and graphite dry lube. Easy to follow instructions to complete your derby kit, place the wheels and axles, lube it, and race to the finish.

Low Rider is a another one of our light-weight pinewood derby car body that comes in all three variants of wheel base options. BSA axle slot, drilled BSA distance, or extended wheel base. Ultra thin profile is right around 1/4″ thickness. Utilizes a lead canopy style weight that is glued on the top. This variation does NOT use the tungsten canopy unless you drill a lug hole. We have misplaced the the cad file for it and simply don’t want to redraw with the lug hole. Weighing in around 12 grams, this lightweight pine body is specifically milled to remove wheel rub and body weight while keeping a strut framework for integrity. Flush under pockets for ballast placement for COG adjustments

Utilizing an official BSA block, we precision router cut this profile to get your champion racer the winning trophy this year. Although designed for low budget by using a lead canopy, we did not leave out any of the secrets to get it into the winner’s circle. Keeping that in mind, our winning kit includes a pre-cut pinewood derby car body, weight, lathed wheels, prepped axles, and dry graphite lube which comply to most pack’s rules. Axle and wheel upgrades available.

Although every winning Pinewood Derby Kit has wheels and axles, do you know the secrets that will help you get top speed of the derby car? As a result Derby Dust® tech’s do most of the work in order for you to have winning racer. When making your derby car, there are key issues to consider that includes the benefit of all the parts put together. Using these known tips will result in a winning pinewood derby car that looks and performs better than the rest of the pack. Furthermore, the total speed of this car will largely depend on the builder. Most noteworthy axle alignment, lube break-in and axle preparation are some of the things the builder must perform in order for this car to reach its full potential speed.

Our Winning Pinewood Derby Kit comes with either precision cut cnc axle slots or precision drilled axle holes drilled with the Goat Boy Drill Station. Most of all, kits with axle slots are always fully BSA compliant with all pack rules. Therefore please check your pack rules before purchasing a car body with drilled axle holes.
